How we handle your account and data

This page is maintained by Educational Partnerships to Impact Children, Inc. (EPIC) to answer common questions about how EPIC Content Creator Grants handles accounts, data, and payments. It describes our current practices and is not an independent certification or audit.

Who we are

EPIC Content Creator Grants is a program of Educational Partnerships to Impact Children, Inc., a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt not-for-profit corporation. Contact us through the channels listed on our About page.

Accounts & authentication

Accounts are created with an email address through our authentication provider. Passwords are never stored or seen by EPIC. You can sign out at any time from the site header.

Admin actions are gated server-side using role checks; client-side flags are never trusted to grant access.

Data we collect

We store the minimum needed to operate grants: your email, your PayPal email (only if you provide one to receive a grant), your signup date, and a record of grant requests and awards.

You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data by contacting us.

Payments

Grant payouts are sent through PayPal. We do not store your PayPal password or financial credentials — only the PayPal email address you choose to associate with your account so we can send a payout.

Payment status and pause state are controlled by EPIC administrators. Internal operational notes about a pause are not exposed publicly.

Access controls

Personal records (profile, grant requests, grant awards) are protected by row-level security so that signed-in users can only read their own data. Administrative tables are restricted to admin accounts.

Third-party services

We rely on a small number of vendors to run the service: our cloud database and auth provider, PayPal for payouts, and embedded social widgets (X, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram) on certain pages. Each vendor receives only the information needed to perform its function.

Reporting a security concern

If you believe you have found a security or privacy issue, please reach out through the contact channels on our About page so we can investigate.
