EPIC Communities brings businesses, residents, media, and charitable resources together to help meet local needs in both the short and long term.
How Community Partners Benefit
Each participating business is connected to its own Community Partner Grant Fund. Funds associated with that business may be used to help eligible community members obtain approved products or services from the Community Partner.
This creates a structured opportunity for the business to:
- • Be recognized as an active contributor to the community.
- • Build stronger relationships with local residents.
- • Participate in promotions that introduce more people to the business.
- • Become an eligible provider when approved grant funds are used.
Community Partnership does not guarantee customers, sales, or a specific amount of funding. It creates an opportunity for community support and business growth to work together.
How the Community Benefits
When local needs are addressed through participating businesses, more of the benefit remains within the community.
Grant funds may help eligible residents obtain approved necessities, services, repairs, transportation, food, clothing, school supplies, and other forms of assistance.
These resources can help solve immediate problems while also strengthening the businesses, relationships, and local systems that communities depend on over time.
The goal is not simply to provide temporary relief. The goal is to build a continuing system through which local participation can generate new resources for local needs.
How Children and Families Benefit
Children's educational success is affected by more than what happens inside a classroom.
When a family is struggling to afford food, transportation, clothing, utilities, household repairs, school supplies, or other basic needs, those pressures can affect a child's attendance, concentration, preparation, and ability to participate fully in school.
Helping families address immediate needs can reduce instability and give parents and caregivers more capacity to focus on education, employment, long-term planning, and their children's development.
Meeting basic needs does not guarantee academic success. It helps create the conditions in which children are better able to learn and families are better able to support them.
