Football’s Greatest Bears Can Work for All of Rockford

You do not have to own a business—or even care about the Chicago Bears—to benefit from Football’s Greatest Bears.

Football’s Greatest Bears uses football content to attract an audience in Rockford and beyond. That broader audience creates opportunities for advertising, sponsorships, promotions, and media revenue. All net revenue generated by Football’s Greatest Bears returns to EPIC to support Rockford is EPIC!—a program created exclusively to benefit Rockford.

The Bears theme helps build the audience. Rockford impact is the purpose.

Whether you are a resident, parent, student, teacher, employee, sales professional, independent contractor, business owner, or community supporter, there is a way for you to participate.

The Ecosystem at a Glance

  • Viewers help build the audience.
  • Businesses and sales and service professionals purchase affordable advertising to reach that audience.
  • All net Football’s Greatest Bears revenue returns to EPIC.
  • EPIC uses that revenue to support Rockford is EPIC! and Rockford-focused community activity.

How Watching Can Help Generate Money for Rockford

Watching Football’s Greatest Bears is free. As more people watch, the channel can become more valuable to advertisers and sponsors and can create more opportunities for platform and media revenue.

The process is straightforward:

  1. Football’s Greatest Bears attracts viewers through Bears-related content.
  2. A larger and more active audience creates greater advertising and sponsorship potential.
  3. Businesses and sales and service professionals can purchase affordable advertising to reach that audience.
  4. All net revenue generated by Football’s Greatest Bears returns to EPIC.
  5. EPIC uses that revenue to support Rockford is EPIC! and Rockford-focused community activity.

A single view is not a donation and does not guarantee that revenue will be generated. Each viewer contributes to the audience activity that can make revenue generation possible.

Not a Bears Fan? You Can Still Participate

You do not have to listen to the football discussion. Keep the livestream visible with the sound on or off and follow the on-screen crawl for community information.

The channel can connect Rockford residents with:

  • Giveaways and participation opportunities.
  • Local advertisements.
  • Deals and promotions from participating advertisers and Community Partners.
  • School- and student-centered opportunities.
  • Community announcements.
  • Information about ways to support Rockford businesses, teachers, students, and families.

No purchase, subscription, like, comment, share, or minimum viewing time is required unless the published rules for a specific activity expressly say otherwise.

Affordable Advertising Is Not Limited to Business Owners

You do not have to own a business to advertise on Football’s Greatest Bears.

Advertising is available to eligible businesses, organizations, independent professionals, employees, and people whose work depends on generating leads, appointments, bookings, referrals, or sales.

Examples may include:

  • Real estate agents and brokers.
  • Automobile sales professionals.
  • Insurance and financial-services professionals.
  • Loan officers and other licensed professionals.
  • Bartenders, servers, barbers, stylists, and other service professionals who build their own clientele.
  • Independent contractors and commission-based workers.
  • Sales representatives promoting themselves, their authorized services, or an employer-approved offer.

An advertiser must have the right to use every business name, logo, offer, professional claim, and contact detail included in the advertisement. Employees and representatives are responsible for obtaining any employer, licensing, compliance, or brand approval their work requires.

Create and Manage Your Advertisement for $25

A Football’s Greatest Bears advertising placement costs $25 total for one full year. It is one payment with no automatic renewal, and no EPIC account is required.

Through a secure Football’s Greatest Bears Ad Portal, an advertiser can:

  • Create an advertisement using the approved Football’s Greatest Bears template.
  • Add a business or professional name.
  • Add a headline and promotional message.
  • Include a website, address, phone number, call to action, or promotional code.
  • Upload an authorized logo or professional image.
  • Preview the completed advertisement.
  • Save drafts.
  • Submit the advertisement for EPIC review.
  • Submit one replacement advertisement every 30 days.

Advertisers control the content and offer they submit. EPIC controls the advertising template, reviews every submission, and determines whether and when an advertisement is approved for the broadcast rotation.

EPIC’s review target is within two business days. A current approved advertisement remains in rotation while a replacement is reviewed. A correction requested by EPIC does not use another replacement opportunity, and a replacement does not restart or extend the original one-year term.

Advertising does not guarantee a particular number of broadcasts, impressions, viewers, clicks, leads, appointments, customers, sales, or revenue.

How Advertisers Can Benefit

Affordable advertising gives businesses and sales and service professionals an opportunity to:

  • Introduce themselves to viewers in Rockford and beyond.
  • Promote an authorized product, service, event, offer, or professional specialty.
  • Direct viewers to a website, social account, phone number, location, or appointment process.
  • Update their message as their offers or priorities change.
  • Participate in promotions that can connect viewers with local goods and services.
  • Support a media system designed to return net revenue to EPIC for Rockford.

This creates an opportunity for professional visibility and community benefit to work together. It does not guarantee business results.

How PSL Memberships Connect the Ecosystem

Advertising and PSL Memberships are separate ways to participate.

Advertising purchases media placement. PSL Memberships provide a separate form of participation in EPIC’s Community Grant structure.

EPIC has 1,000 individually serialized PSL Memberships organized into 100 PSLs. Each PSL contains 10 PSL Memberships. The current issuer price is $10 as a one-time purchase for each PSL Membership, with continuing participation for the operating life of the program. Holding all 10 memberships associated with one PSL means holding the complete PSL.

Eligible adults may purchase and hold available PSL Memberships under the general program terms, whether they live in Rockford or elsewhere. Verified City of Rockford residents who are at least 18 years old may participate regardless of business ownership or Community Partner status and may use the Rockford-specific preference features described below. Purchasing from outside Rockford does not create eligibility for Rockford-only preferences, grants, giveaways, or other local benefits. A parent or legal guardian may purchase and hold memberships while identifying a minor as the intended beneficiary.

Eligible businesses and organizations may also hold PSL Memberships in their legal names through verified authorized representatives. Individual and organizational holdings remain subject to the published identity, authority, availability, payment, beneficial-control, ownership-limit, and program rules.

Every PSL Membership participates equally in EPIC’s Community Grant structure. Community Partner visibility and eligible-provider privileges are separate benefits that require separate Community Partner approval.

A PSL Membership is a program-participation designation. It does not create corporate membership in EPIC, organizational voting or governance rights, equity, ownership of EPIC or Community Grant funds, or any grant guarantee or financial return. Read the PSL Membership Purchase Terms.

A Rockford purchaser may record:

The school and focus selections are private, nonbinding preferences that help EPIC understand where supporters would like future grant attention directed. The purchaser remains the PSL Membership holder.

Eligible PSL Memberships may be transferred or offered for resale only through the PSL Membership Marketplace, subject to the published holding period, ownership limits, fees, payment settlement, transfer, and marketplace rules. A PSL Membership does not guarantee resale, liquidity, appreciation, profit, or any other financial return.

Businesses and Sales and Service Professionals

PSL Membership ownership and Community Partner status are separate. An eligible business or organization may hold one or more PSL Memberships in its legal name, including all 10 associated with a complete PSL. A Community Partner may also hold PSL Memberships, but holding a PSL Membership does not automatically make any individual, business, or organization a Community Partner.

Businesses and professionals that are separately approved as Community Partners may receive Community Partner visibility and may become eligible providers when approved Community Grant funds are used for qualifying goods or services.

This means a participating business or professional may have two distinct opportunities:

  1. Use affordable advertising to tell people what they offer.
  2. Participate in the Community Partner system through which approved grant-funded needs may be fulfilled by eligible providers.

Neither advertising nor a PSL Membership guarantees customers, sales, referrals, funding, or selection as a provider.

Teachers

A supporter can identify a teacher-focused need at an RPS 205 school. This gives EPIC useful information about where Rockford supporters would like future Community Grant attention directed.

A recorded preference is not a grant award, reserved balance, school wallet, or promise of funding.

Students and Student-Centered Programs

A supporter can identify student needs or student-centered programs and activities while EPIC protects private and minor-identifying information.

A student does not receive PSL Membership ownership, a withdrawal right, or guaranteed assistance merely because the student, school, or program is named as a preference.

Rockford Residents and Families

As the ecosystem grows, approved Community Grant funds may help eligible residents obtain qualifying goods, services, repairs, transportation, food, clothing, school supplies, and other forms of assistance through participating Community Partners.

Availability depends on funding, eligibility, program rules, verification, and EPIC approval. Participation does not guarantee individual assistance.

The Goal

The goal is to build a continuing Rockford system in which:

  • Viewers help create audience value.
  • Advertisers receive affordable visibility.
  • Businesses and sales and service professionals can promote what they offer.
  • Residents can discover local opportunities, deals, promotions, and giveaways.

Football’s Greatest Bears is the audience engine. EPIC is the nonprofit administrator. Rockford is the community that benefits.

Purchase PSL Memberships

Units are purchased through the standard EPIC checkout at the current published price of $10.00 per unit. Availability, limits, terms, eligibility, and grant rules are exactly the same as everywhere else on EPIC — Rockford is EPIC! adds no separate inventory, price, or grant pool.

Tell us who your units support

PSL Memberships are purchased through the standard EPIC checkout. After your purchase, you can name the RPS 205 school and focus you had in mind. This is a preference for EPIC administrators. It never reserves units, changes pricing, or guarantees a grant.

What this page is and is not

  • Purchases and donations are separate. A donation never creates a Grant Participation Unit, and a unit purchase is never treated as a charitable donation.
  • School and focus selections are preferences recorded for EPIC administrators. They are never caps, reservations, guarantees, or grant awards.
  • Grant decisions follow EPIC's existing published grant rules, cycles, maturity, and cooling periods.
  • EPIC never publishes named student information, and teacher or program details supplied here stay private.

Participation does not guarantee a prize, promotion, grant, customer, sale, referral, funding, or individual financial assistance. Opportunities depend on available funding, audience activity, advertiser and Community Partner participation, eligibility, verification, approval, and the published rules governing each activity.
